Discovery Days at The Bakken

Visit the museum for an in-depth exploration of science, technology, engineering, art and math topics with hands-on activities and partner demonstrations.

March is Women's History Month, and at The Bakken Museum we are celebrating the talented women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math at Discovery Days on Saturday, March 11!

This family-focused event features interactive learning stations, make-and-take activities, and experts from the STEM field in Minnesota who will share their experiences and insight as women in science. Discovery Day activities run from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm and are included in the cost of admission. Members get in FREE!

Explore exciting elements of electrical engineering!  Try your hand at some fun and unique engineering challenges and feel like an expert electrician. 


The Future is Now
Saturday, June 18th

Interact with tech projects and see presentations led by local technology experts including high tech virtual reality demonstrations, wearable technology, and fun digital learning presented in partnership with Seagate. 


Women in Science
Saturday, March 19th

A day full of family friendly activities with local female scientists!  We will have ongoing interactive projects from different science fields, including a Zoologist from the Minnesota Zoo, a Chemist, an Engineer and many more!
