Break Camps

Wonder, Try, Discover, & Share!

School’s out for Spring! Spend some time building and inventing at The Bakken. Join us for this new kind of camp where we innovate unique solutions to interesting challenges using tools and materials from the student workshop.

Creative Problem Solving Challenge

This spring The Bakken is launching an all new creature camp. During this week campers will create their own creatures and reflect on what it might mean to bring a creature into this crazy world we live in. Drawing inspiration from how Mary Shelley came up with her famous "ghost story" Frankenstein, campers will explore how science and technology can inspire stories, experiment with different ways to "create life" by bring together different materials from the workshop using electricity.

Design and build, practice creative thinking skills, and play games.

  • This activity is for students in 4th - 6th grade.
  • Break camp days run from 9am to 4pm.
