Norman, Robert,

The newe attractive, containing a short discourse of the Magnes or Lodestone, and amongsst other his vertues, of a newe discouered secret and subtill propertie, concernyng the declinyng of the needle, touched therewith under the plaine of the horizon. Now first founde out by Robert Norman, hydrographer. Hereunto are annexed certaine necessarie rules for the art of nauigation, by the same R.N. London, R. Ballard, 1581.

Provenance: J. Latimer Clark, 1822-1898 (ink stamp, autograph in gold on binding, Quaritch's 1875 offer of the book to Clark tipped in, and Clark's signed, dated manuscript notes on the 1614 edition tipped in)
