One time head of St. Bartholomew's Hospitals' Electrical Department in London, Jones was an early supporter of Leduc's research on ionic medication (the therapeutic transfer of ions). He recommended the use of iodine ion for the treatment of ringworm, but warned against the indiscriminate use of ionic medication by incompetent people.
