The term, "Franklinisation hertzienne" was introduced by Bordier to describe the static induced and wave currents of Morton. Static generators could replace the induction coil or dynamo in the D'Arsonval circuit for the production of high frequency currents and associated radio waves, however, he assumed that high frequency oscillations could occur whatever form of circuit was connected to the apparatus. Due to the higher resistance of a human body and its low inductance it was later pointed out (Lewis) that the static induced current could not be oscillatory.
