LEGO Robotics

Build, Program, Test, Repeat!

The Bakken Museum's LEGO Robotics Program gives kids ages 8 through 12 the opportunity to embark on an adventurous challenge to build and program LEGO robots to complete a series of tasks. No prior experience with computer programming or robots needed.  Programs occur on four consecutive Saturdays in the fall, winter, and spring.

Robotic Challenges

Learn the basics of building and programming a LEGO robot. In this four week program we will work with a partner to build a robot with LEGO, learn different ways to make that robot move and teach our robotics to do some neat tricks like get through a maze or react to its environment.

Invent and engineer robots around a central theme. You will need to be creative to solve these challenges. Each student will  design, build, and program a robot to address the theme based challenges. On the last day they will get to proudly show off their work for friends and family.

Check out our blog to see what we have done in recent sessions.
