Family Science Saturdays

Electrifying MinnesotaEnjoy science with friends and family during The Bakken's Family Science Saturday. Engage in hands-on activities and experience special presentations connected to renewable energy and the Electrifying Minnesota exhibit. 10am to 4pm every Saturday (museum is open till 5pm). Family Science Saturday is free with general admission.

Electrifying Minnesota Family Science Saturday Activities

Play the Appliance Matching Game.

Create your own alarm.

Build your own wind turbine.

Assemble a mini-light up city.

Experiment at the solar panel table.

Craft your very own light up "Electricity Book".

Operate a hand crank generator.

Sketch a drawing using charcoal.

Ax-Man Inventors' Table
Every Saturday
Experiment with batteries, wires and more to make motors run, bulbs light up, buzzers beep and more.  This activity is supported in part by Ax-Man Surplus store.
