More on our exhibits

The Bakken welcomes school groups for self-guided museum visits. With parent and teacher chaperones, students may explore the exhibits at their own pace.

Join the spirit of Benjamin Franklin in the static electricity party room, see and hear electric fish, discover medical magnetism and more. There are plenty of interactive exhibits to captivate inquiring minds. In addition, our Frankenstein exhibit is a great enhancement for interdisciplinary teaching of science, history, literature and culture.

Self-guided museum visits cost $5 per student. Advance reservations are required. K-8 classes must have at least one chaperone for every four students. If you have 10 or more people, we provide a discount rate of $4 a student. A minimum of one chaperone for every seven students is preferred for grades 9-12. We require chaperones to stay with their groups at all times.

Please call The Bakken (612-926-3878 ext. 219) any time throughout the year to schedule.
