Magnetism

The Bakken has many magnetic devices in its collection. Some are as simple as a piece of lodestone, or a bar magnet. Some are as large and complex as an eye magnet weighing hundreds of pounds, with levers, knobs, and adjustments so these hundreds of pounds can safely be maneuvered a fraction of an inch away from a sensitive (and wounded) eyeball. Our oldest artifact is a Babylonian cylinder seal amulet carved from lodestone circa 1800 BC.
