Guerin Electrostatic
Generator
Origin unknown, 1882-1930
This small generator, which can be taken apart and stored in its base, is an uncommon hybrid of the Wimshurst and Toepler-Holtz machines. It was patented in 1882 by Emile Guerin as a specially portable machine for teachers. Judging from representation in our collection, they never were as popular or common as the other kinds of influence machine. |
